1.Add the connector
The connector address is https://app.greenerahead.com/mcp. Add it once in your AI app and sign in with your Greener Ahead account. You choose which account connects and you see the companies the app will be able to read before you allow it.
- Claude (claude.ai, the desktop and mobile apps): Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector. Paste the address and sign in.
- ChatGPT: Settings, Apps, Create app (developer mode). Paste the address and sign in. Workspace owners on Business and Enterprise plans add it for their members.
- Microsoft Copilot: in Copilot Studio, add a tool, choose Model Context Protocol and paste the address.
- Other apps that support remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in work the same way.
Company owners find the same address in Greener Ahead under Settings, AI assistants.
2.What you can ask
- Your carbon footprint by scope, category, site, legal entity or month, with purchased electricity on both the location-based and the market-based basis.
- The suppliers with the most emissions, the data quality of your inventory and the emission factors behind each figure.
- Where your VSME or CSRD report stands, what still blocks approval and the value of any datapoint, for example to answer a customer or bank questionnaire.
- Your climate plan: the targets, whether the plan reaches them, the actions and what they cost.
- The documents you uploaded and the data requests you sent.
Every figure comes with its reporting year, its state (answered, not answered yet, approved) and where it came from, so the AI app can cite it. A figure nobody has entered is reported as missing, never as zero. Apps that support it show your emissions and report progress as charts.
3.Changes need your approval
The AI app reads; it does not change your data. When you ask it to change something, for example to add fuel use or update a climate action, Sprout, the assistant in Greener Ahead, prepares the change and the app gives you a link. Nothing changes until you open it and approve the change in Greener Ahead.
4.What it can see
The AI app reads exactly what your account can read in Greener Ahead, in every company you belong to, and nothing more. It cannot see other accounts or send anything to anyone.
Company owners can turn AI assistant access off for their company under Settings, AI assistants. It then stops for everyone, including people who already connected an app. The same page lists what AI apps read, by whom and when. To disconnect your own account, remove the connector in your AI app.
5.Without an account
Add https://app.greenerahead.com/mcp/public to use two tools that need no sign-in: check whether CSRD reporting applies to a company after the 2026 EU simplification, and read the official text of any VSME or ESRS disclosure.
6.Privacy
When you connect an AI app, its provider receives the figures and text the app asks for on your behalf, under that provider's own terms. Read more in section 5 of our Privacy Policy. Questions: support@greenerahead.com.
